WILLIAM J. COUTU
Financial Manager
William J. Coutu, BBA, is responsible for overseeing the accounting and administrative operation of the organization. He is responsible for developing WRI’s annual operating budget and project budgets and for formulating financial reports requested by WRI's Board of Directors. He has an in-depth knowledge of state and federal grants management guidelines and prepares financial reports for state and federal agencies on an ongoing basis.
Mr. Coutu has major fiscal and administrative responsibility for the Child Welfare Training and Technical Assistance project conducted statewide for the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. He administers all consultant contracts, monitors all consultant activities, and coordinates the development and maintenance of the consultant database for use in recommending vendors. He has overall administrative responsibility for the Reinvestment Fund/Early Intervention Project conducted for the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
Mr. Coutu has conducted group and individual training on financial management and accountability to community-based organizations and state agencies.
Mr. Coutu has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from Siena College.
